Which breed of dog is best for being a deterrant to potential burgulars and also good with smaller breeds? as I already own a yorkshire terrier cross and a lab cross... Thank you...
my general advice would be to get a dog you like not just because it's a deterrent ot burglars. That said, I live in the country and wouldn't be without my gsd,. good in the house, excellent with my young son and very loving...also very scary to people you don't want at the house.
as you already own two dogs, i cant see the point in introducing a third dog, unless you want one of course. I dont think many burglars would enter a house with a rottweiler on duty, but then again if they want to get in enough they will do. And a rottweiler is not the best type of dog to integrate with your existing pets. Get a good old burglar alarm instead!!
