As I've said in my earlier posts, dopey has been quite clumsy (hence named 'dopey) and more so at night when he used to crash into things ....
Now I've noticed he does this during daytime too..... today as he was getting ready for his morning jog, he bumped into his hamster wheel and knocked himself out... he's fine though a bit puzzled by all this, he's got a permanent baffled expression on his little face.
Now I am pretty sure its his eysight that is the problem as earlier on I gave him some nuts to eat, but he started to juggle with them and when I gave him old, dried peas he tried to eat them. As for maltesers, he tried to put them in his 'bowl' as he thought they were poo.... !!
Are there special eyeglasses for dopey, and if not, what is the alternative? I'd hate to see him bump into things all the time and possibly hurt himself ! E:o(

I would say go to SpecSavers - they have a 2 for 1 offer. He could leave one pair in bed for reading and the other one in his lounge area for watching TV.

I do hope this helps!
Maybe contact lenses would be better though, in case he dropped the glasses and trod on them.
If he thought the Maltesers were his poo, he really does need glasses. Lets hope he doesn't get it the wrong way round and eats the poo!
Thinking about this, if he does poos the size of maltesers, his eyes will probably pop out anyway.

Well you see, he's put on a bit of holiday weight, with xmas comnig up, dopey just cant seem to stop drinking coke and eating maltesers al day every day. So, naturally he poos a lot too becoz of bigger diet and tummy poking out. I may have to knit him a new sweater for xmas, as the old one may be too tight on him now :(
If we stick to my hamster slippers idea then he wouldn't needs specs, or anything else come to think of it.
Sounds to me as if he is getting past his sell by date ....probably worn out charging round on his wheel all day ...he is not only myopic he probably needs a hearing aid as well and possibly a zimmer frame then he can join all the other mouldy oldies .
Have you thought about applying for a bus pass for him ?
You have been taken in by your sly hamster. I am quite sure that it is not clumsy at all, just putting on a show to make you feel sorry for it. Not a bad ploy be the sounds of it.
You need to completely retrain the cunning little devil and instead of spoiling it you should knit it a small carpet and place that in the corner of his house, that can be the naughty mat.

As for him juggling his nuts..... I won't go there.
to tell you the truch he may have a brain infection which is common in small rodents, it is liveable but not cureable,
i thought my puppy might need glasses, so i drew some on him with permanent marker, he loved it and stopped bumping into things and being so clumsy
