Most inappropriate song for occasion
11 Answers
I once worked (volunteered) for a hospital radio station.
Each morning I visited the geriatric ward to collect requests to be played that evening.
The requests were mainly for 'big band' music or from the old musicals. Or the more sprightly ones wanted some jazz or ragtime.
One old fellow passed me a piece of paper with his request written on it.
It was this

Apparently his grandson said it was a cool song and he would like it.
I always wished I could have been on the ward with the 'nearly dead' that night to see what they thought of it.
Just thought I'd share that with you all.
Do you have any memories of songs that were inappropriate for the occasion?

I went to a wedding last year where the best man thought it was hilarious to change the song that the bride walks down the aisle from the traditional Wedding March to "Under Pressure - Queen".
Needless to say we had one unhappy bride, an angry husband and a major sense of humour failure - particularly on the bride's side.
