About 19 days after the parents have started incubating properly. After a week or so you can see if they are fertile by the colour, ferlile ones take on a dull shade. It is easier to hold them up to the sun or a strong light and you'll be able to see the blood vessels and a wee spot in the middle which is the embryo.
