Hello there,
We have 2 rabbits in their own shed with large run connected to it.
We are wanted to put a trellis and cover up the rabbit run as we are redesigning our garden.
We want a climbing plant that isn't too vigorous.
What would be safe to grow next to the run and so the rabbits would be safe to nibble on leaves or flowers?
Also a plant that would be okay if they happened to eat a large amount.
Would climbing roses be okay?
Thank you in advance.

Put it this way......there are plenty of wild rabbits around me and have never noticed them eating climbing plants. Caged rabbits tho will eat almost any greenery offered. The wild ones eat the dandelions/bramble/dock/thistle/grass.

I think your roses will be safe as my roses are never eaten by wild rabbits.

Hi there,
Many thanks for your reply.
I think we'll go with roses.
Thanks again

Deadly Night Shade...I'm not sure if it's a climber but it would save you having to redesign the garden
Nasturtiums - don't know if they are a climbing plant but rabbits love to eat the leaves - which could also be a problem lol
