This story was in my local paper. A person was at a campsite and they left their dog in a Vauxhall Omega.

The car caught fire due to an electrical fault.

Sadly the dog was burned to death.

Please don't leave dogs in cars.

This could happen to anyone.

If the dog is in a cage in the car even if someone sees what is happening they cannot rescue the dog, even if they smash the windows of the car.

Please take your dog with you or leave it at home (or in kennels).

God there's some lovely people about aren't there?? Was there really any need for that comment? We can care about human beings and animals too-well some of us can.
Unfortunately, fishyredhead has joined the site merely to antagonise other users. Don't rise to the bait.
kita - thank you for posting the message.

We all treasure life, whether it be pets, children, the elderly, accident victims etc etc etc. The list goes on which leads me on to ...........................

Yep - its the weekend and here come the trolls!!!

Off you go back to chatterbank fishyredhead/peewit/gravy or whatever you are called now (if they will let you back in!!!)

omg!! fish head has gone!!!! That was quick!!!
Just keep reporting them. Eventually the ED deletes them.
Thanks for sharing that story. Accidents can be prevented with knowledge and the cage is certainly food for thought.
(Not that I have one).

I was sad to hear during the hot summer a few years ago that a dog had died in it's own garden in the midday sun from the heat, as he had no shelter from the sun and his water had all evaporated. I'm sure the owners just never imagined that would happen.
Hi Kita 1 I cannot for the life of me understand why anybody should want to leave a dog in a car full stop. The times these warnings go out and still stupid people do this.g.
