cats and boxes

what is it with cats and cardboard boxes mine sleeps on them and chews them (he doesnt eat them though) my mams cat lies on them and one of my mother-in-laws cats sits on them it doesnt mater how small the box is she even tried to sit on a matchbox before lol does anyone elses cats have a thing for boxes? xxxxxxxxxxx

Lol Tinkerbell!

I bought a pair of shoes the other day and left the box on the floor in my bedroom. During the night one of my cats decided she was going to get inside the box and rustle the bits of tissue paper in it. And this was at around 3am!!!

mine also steals my nail files when i do my nails i have to sit on the file or hell run away with it and chew it so as you probs guessed all my nail files have teeth marks in them i think he likes the way they feel on his teeth lol

Cupar likes to try and squeeze his bum into tissue boxes on a regular bases, and margo always gets very excited when theres a box brought into the flat, shes always first to check them out.

Mine love boxes too. They like to play a game where one is in the box and the other is outside and you see a paw come up over the top which is the signal for the other to attack. If I get anything in a box I always leave it for them to play in as they get hours of fun out of them. They also love carrier bags and sitting on newspapers.

Yep, my two mistresses love cardboard boxes as well... so much so that I have given up on the special cat beds I bought them and now they just have an old cardboard box each.... filled with newspaper ! If I put a newspaper on the floor, then big thug has to sit on it straight away.....lol..... in fact she has been known to knock newspapers off the coffee table onto the floor (*ahem* accidentally lol) just so that she can then pounce on top of it.... I keep a selection of new birthday cards in a little M&S carrier bag and now big thug has also adopted that bag as her latest cuddle-up-to-place...... well, at least I always know where the *card bag* can be found - somewhere near big thug...lol

haha, but just you try and get them in a box to get them to the vet hey? legs out at right angles, hair on end, hissing and wriggling! makes you laugh dont it!

my cat likes all the above!! doesnt like her cat box that we take her the vets in though!

My ironing basket is her new favourite!! leaves my clean clothes full of cat hair though!!

Another toy she plays with for hours is a pen, if she see's a pen on the table - she has to have it, she tosses it up in the air and rolls it across the floor. But give her a cat toya nd she turns her nose up at it!!
