Sphynx Cats
I love Sphynx cats and have been wondering about them, so does anyone know these answers?
1) How did the Sphynx come about, how was it bred to be bald.
2) What would happen if a Sphynx bred with a regular cat, what would their offspring look like?
3) Can Sphynx's only ever be house cats?
4) Do they have a similar life expectancy to regular cats?
5) Are the more affectionate and do they have more character and personality than other cats?
6) How often should they be bathed?
Thanks

I think that one outdoors in this country would freeze to death in no time.

Thanks In a pickle. I think they are an acquired taste, but from photos on various sites and films on You Tube, they seem so loveable and fun loving. I believe they are quite high maintenance, as they need to be bathed once per week, due to their skins secreting an oily substance.
I have to say, the darker hued ones do look better than the pinkish ones, which look a bit like raw chickens. They do seem to be more sought after in the US.
