i rescued a puppy jack russell from a rehoming centre, he had been found wandering the streets so there is no information about his past. I had him vaccinated on the first day i got him and im taking back for 2nd one tomorrow....my question is, will he be ok for going out in public straight away tomorrow or does it take few days or weeks for the vaccine to work? He may already be covered from previously anyway but wouldnt want to put him at risk should this not be the case.

Most people say keep them in for a week after the second vaccination, but to be honest provided you don't put him down in the local park where all the dogs wee and poo, he should be fine to be taken out. Carry him around and let him meet people, far more dogs get put down because of lack of socialisation than ever die from catching something as a puppy.
We were told to keep ours in the garden for 2 weeks after their second injection.
