how do I stop my dog from chewing?

Hi I am just wondering how I can stop my dog from chewing when I go out I have 3 dogs and they have lots of toys yet they chew everything in sight .Any help would be gratefully recieved .thanks

Have you tried a Kong? It is a hard rubber toy - comes in several shapes and sizes, and has a hole in it where you can put food (they sell special stuff to put in it at the pet shop). The dog has difficulty in actually getting the food out so chews away at it for hours. Worked for our dog - after she had chewed a hole in the plaster in the wall and two carpets!!! She stopped chewing other stuff once she had the Kong.

No I have'nt I have been told about them by my vet the only problem I have is that I have 3 dogs 1 is a rottie 1 is a cross english bull terrier and the other is a heinz and I would be a little bit worried that the would fight but I think I might give it a go thankyou very much for you rsponse.

Yes they may well argue over it , unless you seperated them , and no good getting them one each , they'll still want the one the other dogs have ...lol
I have a lab , but she hasn't chewed since she was a puppy , now I have a JR puppy 10 weeks old so yu can imagine , his sharp little tushypegs are into everthing , including the lab . I just distract him with a toy , which is easier for me with just the 2 of-course. x

the pup is not that old which is my english bull terrier cross and it has only been since we got her that all this tarted am now at the end of my tether and not sure what to do.I think I am just going to have to ride this out or wait for a miracle.Lol
