This is the reply I got from someone who runs training classes and competes in agility and flyball, so is very 'doggy'.
Where I've put my dogs on the odd occassion is, I think, brilliant.
It isn't posh, looks very scruffy, tatty,
but my dogs, and any other dogs I know that have
stayed there had a ball. They can run loose in the paddock, the
care is second to none. They also occassionally breed gundogs,
having the only dual champion. (Bryantscroft)

My dogs often come back full of mud because it has been raining,
but hey, they get full of mud when we go walkies. My dogs get
very excited when I have to take them there, and never give
a backward glance as they leave me!!!! Their own dogs that run
constantly in their grass run around the house, always look as if
they need several baths to get clean when it's been wet weather.
Then there are the "nice" kennels. Beautiful property, gorgeous kennels, nice
gardens, the dogs are always spotless when they come back.
They are walked around the field, on lead (not fenced, but hedged)
once a day. My dogs didn't like it and hesitated to come out of
the van when we arrived. I only used those kennels twice (because
the other kennels was full), and I'd rather not go away than put
them in there again. Owners are ex police dog trainers/handlers.
I don't go for the aesthetically beautiful kennels, I put my dogs where
I know they will be happy, and if the slightest thing happens, they'd
be taken to a vet. Jane and Rory are very doggy people.
But as I said, it depends on what you are looking for.
They are in Edlington, Lincs.
