Should my kittens be in or outdoor cats ?
4 Answers
I am very confused as to what is best for cats and would like some opinions.
I have 2 kittens who are now 3 months old.
Myself and OH are torn as to if they should remain as indoor cats (we both work full time, hence why we got 2 kittens - brothers - so they have each other for company).
The estate where I live is next to a very busy main road. Also our estate is teaming with cats who you constantly hear fighting.
Our vet seems to favor indoor cats, as he keep advising us of the short expected life span for outdoor cats.

Have had my 2 for around 2 years now and as they have free run off the house, they seem perfectly happy.
I, however, do get bouts of guilt for not letting them play out. I am sure they would prefer to be outdoors, but I am hoping that what they don't know, they can't miss.
Good luck with you decison.

I am fortunate to live in a quiet location and so our cats are "outdoor" however one suffered very serious injuries quite recently when he was knocked down. The road has a 30 mile limit but apparently the driver was speeding. I have tried to keep him in as he recovers and he is now fit enough tn go outside again. I do worry :0(
