Can anyone suggest a good dried puppy food for a 13 week old puppy please? Shes currently on Purina pro plan puppy food, but this is extremely difficult to obtain in my area so i would like to gradually change to another brand. (I know i have to make the changeover very gradually) so its just a good brand recommendation thats easily obtainable & suitable for a puppy that i would like advice on please. Thanks in advance.

Hi,Lottie has been on Hills Science since she was 11 wks and is now on the adult chicken version. She is very healthy and happy and has a beautiful shiny coat (she's a black lab) and lovely clean, white teeth and very importantly, has no toiletting problems (subtly said!) I buy online though as it can be up to 10 a 15kg sack cheaper.I have used zooplus and seapets.I just look who has the best price at the time.Maybe you could get Purina online come to think of it. Have also tried samples of Arden Grange,Burns and Skinners, all of which we didn't continue with for various reasons. Hope that helps.

Thanks Barb, ive seen that brand in the pet shops, so will look into it. I could get Purina online, but im so busy these days that im afraid that one day i may forget to order in time for when she needs it and then i'd be in a right old pickle.....but more to the point....so would she, bless her!
I always feed Eukanuba, although James Welbeloved is good too and easily available, tip though - the Lamb variety stinks.
Eukanuba didn't suit my westie....although he loved it. He is now on Burns which suits him better. I think a lot is trial and error until you find the one best for your individual dog..

Thanks lankeela, yes thats another possibility i shall look into. I know if i receive a reply from you it will be sound sensible advice.
I have found Burns very good on delivery. Not cheap but my border terrier has been well suited .Previously his digestion was not so good On their web site is a free phone number and they will send samples and a measuring cup if you ask.
I have a golden retriever with a sensetive stomach and weaned her on to James wellbelloved - I will agree the lamb variety does smell......but the dog loves all the flavours which is the most important thing and has moved on successfully through Junior and just onto Adult with no problems.
