Dentastix?
I was using a water additive until I read this:

http://www.naturalnews.com/025335_health_oral_ health_xylitol.html

You can get many meaty flavoured toothpastes for dogs and the brushing keeps their gums healthy too.

Thank you Paraffin, i will get some Dentastix for them.

Hey Madmaggot, what an eye opener, thank you so much for that link, i am off now to pull everything out of the dog store to check for xylitol.

Many thanks to you both.
Give it a good old fashioned marrow bone.
Lankeela - just got this image in my head of a tiny pomeranian sitting beside a cow leg bone/knuckle bone!!!! They would be the same size!

That would make a good video for youve been framed.

Hi Lankeela, Both the pom and the papillon have plenty of raw meaty bones, though not quit as big as a marrow bone lol, they are raw fed so did'nt expect this problem quite so soon, but maybe i will have to give them whole slabs of meat rather than diceing it, so they will have to do a lot more tearing rather than chewing.

Many thanks to you all for your help.
I've got a lovely photo of four Heeler puppies about three weeks old on a 'Postman's Leg' (giant knuckle bone). They used to climb all over it and chew bits off it. They cleaned it all off and it stayed around for years, with them occasionally pulling it out of the dog box for a chew. I finally threw it out about three months ago ('puppies' were 6 in June!).
I also always give mine pigs ears, which also clean in between the teeth as they chew on them.
