Cats Piddle on carpet
9 Answers
My cat had piddled on the lounge carpet and I have sourced where it is.
I have disinfected and scrubbed and put on Get Off and the room still stinks.
I put Bicarbonate of Soda down today and left it for ages -after dampening the carpet -then I let it dry and hoovered it ip then scrubbed with vinegar and then sprayed 'Get Off'
It still stinks.
What next?
(BTW -he has been to the vet and he is fine -he has had a fright outdoors and is clingy ATM -we have a litter tray now which he wouldnt use before as he always wanted to go out -but is using and also going outdoors so he is feeling secure)

sorry - obviously hadn't read the question correctly (put it down to my age) - you say you have used vinegar - having said that, I've worked in animal welfare for a thousand years and we have always used this with brilliant results..I'm not saying other things don't work - they probably do and very effectively too but once you have put anything on the area which contains chemicals -(particularly ammonia - and lots of sprays etc contain this) you are actually making the problem worse. If you get no success from other suggestions - wash the area thoroughly with clean water (several times) then apply a dilution of vinegar and water. I'd be very interested in your findings. Go well
