Update- On BOB the ferret NOT GOOD NEWS
33 Answers
Went to the vets on tuesday for a check up on his progress and we decided all round to keep him on this diet as we had kind of diagnosed an asphagus dialation and that was what we were treating him for, He is so well i cant tell you running up the stairs quicker than me, hungry 24 seven, very playfull, So I went back to the vets tonight to pick up aload of food to get passed the christmas period and the vet heard my voice and said after i had seen the receptionist if i could come and see her as she had the results back, she didnt really need to say anything I knew it was bad, BOB has LYMPHOMA, so we discuseed it for a while and as he is so well we are going to give the chemo a shot, If he does not have it he will die in around 3 months, with chemo and steroids it may shrink and stay down for a while, we are both devestated and the vet said chemo is not painful with very little side effects and some ferrets do respond and some dont so we are trying it in the morning, I hope people dont think i am beeing cruel in putting him through it but the vet has said he is so well that he shouldn't know he has had it.
thanks all

Doc, I read most of your posts in chaterbank, I read loads loads of posts on chatterbank on a daily basis but never really contribute, It was really sad about your dog and i know that bob is only a ferret but he is truly like a 2 year old kid, I said i would never go back to having kids one was enough, but You are a very nice person, and your posts are so funny, thank you for your video of bob on you tube.

I was so sad reading this, but you are doing your best for little Bob and he is still enjoying life at the moment. Where there is life there is hope and Bob sounds like a little fighter. I had to smile about him enjoying his hammock. I wish everyone cared as much about their animals as you so obviously do. I wish Bob loads and loads of luck xx

So sorry to hear the sad news josaphine, I know how you must be feeling, having had to make the same decision for my little dog Ollie only just over a week ago. My thoughts are with you, I can't say anything to make you feel better, no one can, but try to remember the lovely times, that's what gets me through at present................................Take Care....................................welsh
