There was a story in my local rag about 2 ginger cats being dumped outside a cafe at 7pm one night. The two adult cats were dumped in a plastic cat carrier and dumped in the street outside this cafe.About 25 yards from the cafe is a vets.It didn't say who found them, but luckily the RSPCA now have them, and are re homing them. The are where they were dumped is overrun by hooded creatures with their weapon dogs, and also opposite a McD's where they also hang out.Why cant people just phone the RSPCA or drop the cats off at a rescue centre? (About 2/3 miles away)
"luckily the RSPCA now have them, and are re homing them" lol, yeah sure they are. Love the high ground the RSPCA take on this media stories, when in reality they probably care just as less about the animals as the people who dump them. Unless they're rehomed in a specific time frame the RSPCA will put them down anyway.
Boo, better with the RSPCA than being tormented and mauled by a hoodie and his staff. They are up for re homing, their photos are in the paper, saying ring this number if you want to adopt them
I must admit I was surprised to find that the dog my daughter adopted had been with the RSPCA for 8 months, as I thought she would have been put down long before. God knows why the daughter got her 'cos she's big, ugly, and has to be muzzled when they go out.....I think she got her because she fely sorry for her.
As an association I dislike the RSPCA as I see them as rather money-grabbing.
About 4 years ago I let my 3 cats out at about 7am to perform their morning ablutions. While getting their breakfast ready I heard a dreadful commotion, I ran outside to see what was going on. 3 youths and 4 dogs were running down the road. I called my cats and none of them came. The upshot was 2 were killed and 1 lost his tail. This happened on a Sunday and cost a fortune to get the vet out. I went to the police, the RSPCA and the local council but no-one was interested. Since this happened the cat that lost his tail has also died. I could not go through that again so no more animals for me. I still love cats to bits.
I've rang them on numerous occasions about distressed animals in the past, namly a dog, cat pigeon and hedghog (not all at the same time) and each and everytime i rang them they didn't want to know.
The top brass at the RSPCA are apparently very well paid.....and I cannot believe they are appealing against the decision to give this woman her parents farm which appears to have been willed to the RSPCA in very dodgy circumstances....this after the woman has worked for years to keep the farm going.
