when on a walk or taking my boxer dog to my parents she poops. Quite a lot. It starts off like a normal hard poo, but then she goes again and again and again and it can be upto 7 or 8 times in an hour walk. As she keeps going it turns more sloppy. She isn't always asking to go out, if she stays at home she will poop once maybe twice a day always hard. she is fed on a complete dried mixture.
she will be 5 in august, i've only had her since december. she never used to poop on her walks but it's slowly been getting worse, its making me not want to take her out incase she damages her insides. What i can't understand is it's not all the time, like if she was poorly and just had the runs.
Obviously get her checked out by a vet but if she were mine I'd take her out really often rather than less - put no pressure on her to do anything, make these walks great fun. It will take time for her to realise she has all the time and lots of opportunities to void but she will get to know she doesn't have to hold it . Sounds as though something has maybe upset her - was she frightened by anything/anyone or 'hurried up' at any stage? Some dogs are very sensitive and upsets show in many different ways. Good luck and keep us posted.
