Hi my fantail goldfish keep getting fungus type lumps on their heads I have treated the water with a special liquid from the pet shop that clears it up for a while then it comes back. how can I get rid of it. there are 7 fish in a 2ftx2ft tank with 2 filters. the tank is clean and they are cleaned every week. it dosnt seem to bother the fish but I want to geet rid of it. any suggestions what i can use safely. I dont want them dying on me. the other fish in another tank are fine, it only affects the fantails.

Crikey, thats an overstocked tank isn't it?

do you think so? I was wondering if that was it. they were only tiny 3yrs ago and of course they have grown quite a bit. do i need to put some in another tank. thanks for your help
I don't know what the problem is to be honest, it more than likely isn't related, but you really do seem to have over populated the tank which won't help matters.
There are lots of things it could be....try googling Fungus on fish fro images as that will give you a better chance of identifying what it is.
I'm not going to even go there with how over-stocked your tank is.
