Evening, I'm at my daughters at the moment and her little wire haired terrier bitch apparently had a funny turn yesterday. whilst out on her walk the dog started to become unsteady and so they picked her up and when they got her home and put her down she seemed to lose coordination and bump into furniture. It lasted a few minutes and then she seemed ok again, she's not done it since. She is about 2 now. I don't believe it was a siezure as we have seen Bingo have siezures all his life and this wasn't as dramatic and there were really no physical symptoms as such. Any ideas or should my daughter just take the dog to the vets?

It could be a sign of future strokes. Please take the dog to the vet.

do you think it might be?
Not sure dotty, but I think it needs to be checked out with the vet!.......
My dog had similar symptoms before she eventually had a series of strokes. She was 14, so quite old, but all the same, your dog should be checked out and hopefully it will turn out to be nothing serious.

I think its more likely to be something to do with the heart, as they can sometimes have trouble getting enough oxygen to the heart and wobble then are right as rain a few minutes later. Vet check best thing though.
Those were the first symptoms with my dog a few months ago - she died three weeks ago of kidney failure. A blood test will tell you but meanwhile cut down on her protein intake if possible to reduce the load on her kidneys
