do you know where your cat 'messes'?
26 Answers
I read in Best magazine that the queen of clean Aggi think that cat owners should be aware as to where their cat messes, and be responsible. Our cats mainly use the litter tray, but I'm sure they must go else where at times too, short of stalking my cat I don't know how I'm expected to know where they go.
On the flip side, when my garden has been used by other cats, I but deterants down to encourage them to go else where, which seems to work. I've never confronted their owners and complained.
What do others think?

They have a litter tray under a bench, and several earthy-gravelly patches where they can poo and I can clear it up. Other cats come in sometimes, but I don't mind, at least the cat-hater's not being troubled.
I don't think it's possible for you to know where your cat messes although whenever I have had them, they've generally done it in my own garden initially at any rate. I would have no objection to being responsible for my cats mess but I have no idea how you would be able to monitor it. I think the debate about cats messing in peoples gardens, dog owners who clean up after their dog etc.. could run and run but essentially, all sorts of animals crap in our gardens, cats, foxes, bugs, birds etc.. I find it a little difficult to get het up about. Especially as there are ways of stopping a cat doing it.
Dogs, cats, horses, goats, doesn't matter to me what comes into my garden, there's more important things in life that worrying about a bit of sh17. It's nice if people try to keep their animals out of other people's gardens but at the end of the day animals have a mind of their own and we only rent our time and property on earth til we die, so don't lose sleep over it people:)
I have yet to meet a dog owner who thinks that their dog barking and annoying the neighbours is a problem. I have lived next door to a woman for 5 years who has a German Shepherd that barks loud and long every time she leaves it alone (which is daily). If dogs are well behaved and quiet I can tolerate them, otherwise they are one of the most annoying things on the planet.
