Bonding male kittens
I recently got a little kitten from a litter that my friends cat had. I called him Leo. He haS been at my house 4 days already and after being initially scared he settled in quite well. Very playful, happy to be handled etc. Then my Sister decided she also wanted a kitten from my friends litter so we brought him home today. His name is Phoenix. I thought they'd be ok as they are brothers and Would remember each others smell but Leo puffed up all his fur and Phoenix hissed a lot! They seemed to play fight a bit but also keep attacking each other! Is this normal? Will they eventually settle down and bond?

Although he's just been with you for a few days, and just a kitten from the same litter,Leo's made your home his own,and in cat terms is the dominant owner of your house!! Phoenix may be his brother, but as well as still "kitten playing" with each other, there is a power struggle going on here! Don't worry they'll be fine, our cats always have the odd spat every now...

I'm now worried Leo isn't drinking water! He pees a lot (in the litter tray) but I've not seen him drink! I've added water to some dry iams food and they both had loads so that might help! They seem playful enough though!
I think I'll invest in a laser pen as I get shattered trying to chase those little balls with them as it's always going under the unit! :-) x

My cats don't drink water every day but when they do, they drink a lot so don't worry, they know when they want it and regulate it. Will they be going outside? If so, they'll find it when they want it. Be careful with these little balls under units, I had to move the cooker once to get one back and squashed a diamond ring I was wearing!
I always worried that ours never seemed to drink from their bowls, but, they will when they need it. Like slinkycat says, the lure of the running water from either the kitchen tap or both bath or bathroom sink taps,is what they really love! Ours will jump up beside them and hit the taps with their paws so that we understand what is expected of us;-)
