A second has now hatched. Camera is here but doesn't seem to be working properly http://www.bbc.co.uk/...s/pages/ospreys.shtml
Yes Kleiber, two were lost last year and one this year, all presumed shot (no bodies ever found). The loss this year was a male whose partner was sitting on three eggs. She has recently abandoned them but the Rutland team have been licensed to intervene and now have the eggs in an incubator. If any begin to hatch they will try to get them into one of the remaining four occupied nests. Springwatch next then!
