Baby Rabbits
3 Answers
A friend of mine has just bought 2 female 7 week old rabbits (I think they're called mini-lops). The breeder was feeding them on Waggs dried rabbit food only and my friend was wondering what age to start them on fresh food as well as the dried stuff? is it true that you mustn't give rabbits any type of fruit anymore? I had a bunny years ago that adored pieces of apple.

It's there teeth that need to be kept worn down which is what they hay does (as well as being a natural food for bunnies) - why not try googling something like best food for rabbits I'm sure you'll find a lot of helpful advice.
I recently took our baby rabbits to the vet and he told me they should have no more than two tablespoons of dried food a day (while they are growing). He also said that they like basil, coriander, parsley and rubbish grass (like they would get in the wild). If they have upset tummies, he said to give them strawberry plant leaves or blackberry plant leaves. Lettuce gives them bad tummies and apparently they shouldn't have any carrots.
