Too many people with too little resources. Many countries have nuclear capabilities, and it wouldn't take a second to blow us all to pieces. Unless we can find another planet that is liveable, and there isn't so far, maybe in the future, who knows.

According to any number of scientists, including Professor Brian Cox, with regards to the sun, it will around a billion years, not that will affect you and i as we won't be here at any rate.
Scriene asked a question, and i gave my opinion. China has a population of over a billion, how many in India, developing countries populations are growing all the time. UK alone has going on 70 million, so how do you propose to feed everyone. Water is a commodity that is already in short supply. People have evolved, got bigger, stronger, and to some extent adapted, but that doesn't mean we have learned to get along, just look at the world we live in, endless wars, and one day, perhaps not tomorrow or 100 years from now, someone could well do the unthinkable.

sandyroe, confess i had to look up lebensraum, but you could be right. I was reading a report report recently about Yellowstone National park, and the volcano, and confess that sent shivers down my spine. So it could be a natural disaster, the space race is over, for the foreseeable future, so where are we to go. ?
