Retro ice cream powder
3 Answers
In the late 60’s early 70’s I remember ice cream powder that made the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted. It came in a tin which was predominantly light blue in colour. Does anyone remember this and what it was called? More importantly, is it still available?

Can't help but I do sympathise. I remember it as being wonderful. We had a milk factory in our village in a dairy farming area and I was told that it was a bi-product. I recall that the tins were cylindrical about 4" tall with a key to open them (like corned beef).
It was just as nice eating the powder as eating it as ice-cream (I regularly raided the pantry for illicit spoonfuls of this and horlicks powder!).
I think it was made by adding water and freezing the mixture.
I hope you find something more useful about it's availability.
