hamster sneezes

myself and my partner bought my partners daughter a syrian hamster two days ago. we have followed advice and done exactly as suggested but he seems to be sneezing or something that sounds like it. does anyone know if this is ok...

What is the hamsters bedding like? I ask because some bedding can create quite a bit of dust type particles which make them sneeze.

Hamsters do make a kind of snorting/sneezing/chattering sort of sound though...and I think they do it when they are not very happy about something ( but I could be wrong about the reason, it could just be because they like making the noise!)

well he is new, they said he might take a few days to settle down, i'll try changing the bedding if he doesnt stop in the next couple of days. apparently the bedding is Natural Cotton Fibre but it does seem pretty dusty.

Hi if the sound is like a constant little squeek then its ok. I have for syrian hamsters and they all do it, we used to think it was sneezing but have come to the concluson they are either talking to each other or swearing cos when one starts they all perk up and listen and do it back its really quite interesting. Hope this helps.
