Since I posted about the critter in our garden 2 weeks ago http://www.theanswerb.../Question1031061.html we haven't seen it we supposed it had gone into hiding being shy of the attention it generated But hey it's back his morning and has grown a little bit but not much been able to capture another photo of it and still don't know what it really is so any more help that could be given would be appreciated ta everso!!

What rubbish rabbit indeed. Its quite obviously a Gegill, very rare and unusual.
Keep feeding it Gill, as he/she is doing very well x

I would say a rabbit too. Could his ears have been cut off (like for dogs), or could it be a malformation? You said it didn't hop, but ran like a rat?
Has it left any tracks in your garden (I was thinking of 'poo' mostly)? Rabbits eat their own pellets, but so do some rodents. Once the 'food' has had a second go through their digestive tract, they then produce small, dark, hard pellets.
