Dried Meal Worm

Have been out today to Wilko's and bought some dried meal worm.

Will the Robins gobble it up, and thoroughly enjoy it, or would fresh meal worm have been better for them?

Should have added to my post that in damp weather, slugs love the tiny leftover bits of mealworms that the birds leave behind!

I get my mealworms off eBay, pay about £10 per kilo. Worth buying in bulk if you get through a lot (as I do).

Heathfield, yes, there's not a crumb left of anything when food is wet or moist, they wolf down every scrap. Birds dont seem quite so hungry in this lovely warm sunshine though, but come the rain and cold, they'll be here like a shot again

Just a footnote to my other comment: I had a 6th hedgehog join the gang last night. It is about 4 inches long and achingly cute!

They are fascinating creatures. I used to watch them on my patio, doing a sort of shuffle-type dance to determine who'd get first pick at the dish. So funny to watch.
