The device used in the youtube link seems too good to be true. I have spoken to a vet who said that trying it out on his own cat seemed - strange. He does not consider it to be cruel.

What does anyone else think?

PS - Andrew1707, this would make an excellent gift for your sister for her birthday. Or a puppy ........

That's really interesting - if I have to take our little cat to the vet, she does exactly as seen in the video clip if you just hold her on the scruff of the neck, and she's normally a fiesty little madam!

I, personally, don't think that it cruel - but I am not sure if I would try it on either of my moggies. However I will watch with great interest and see if the vets in this country start using it.
