is what I need.

Going away this afternoon and have done three loads of washing since yesterday for stuff I need. Got up an hour ago, took last and biggest load out of the machine, hung it all out to try in the blue skies, made a cuppa, sat down, looked at the window to see it p1ssing it down, ran out to get it all back in and now it's all hanging up on the airer sopping wet. It's never going to dry by this afternoon.

And to make matters worse, I've left my slippers upstairs!

Not sure why I'm sharing this most boring post with you. That cat isn't really one for conversation in the mornings.
Where are you going, Milly?

Good result for Arsenal last night !!
Obviously you don't have a tumble drier. Is there a launderette near you? You could take it in and use their drier maybe.

Yeah great result JJ. For you too I see. Nice one!

Just off to Cornwall for a long weekend. Can't wait to get out of here!

Fraid not Scotman, bit out in the sticks here. Although we have a bakery, I bet it's warm in there.
Is any of it stuff you could iron dry?
Cornwall ... oh, lovely. I hope the weather's good for you.

Yes ... it was a very jolly result for me. How much would I have kicked myself if I hadn't taken that bet !

I will resort to ironing dry as late as possible, it's all a bit too wet at the moment though. ho hum. Could be worse. The washing line could have been struck by lightening then I'd really be stuffed.

Weather isn't looking too great but I don't mind. My clothes are all wet anyway. :o)

Hope you make the most of your winnings this bank holiday weekend!
"Could be worse. The washing line could have been struck by lightning ..."

Well, yes ... I suppose so ... "in theory" !

LOL, LOL ... thanks for giving me a huge laugh, Mils.
Hi milly, underneath your clothes drier/airer stand a table lamp (or two)the hot air from the bulb(s) will at least help to dry the clothes.

Ron.
Put all your clothes in the car, with the heater on full.
milly. take the wet clothes with you and dry at your destination............ enjoy :)
how about using the launderette dryers? at least they will be all soft and dry

You don't need HOT air to dry - just MOVING air. Do you have a fan? Place several feet away on high and open windows.
put it on an airer and stand it next to an open oven [not too close, of course]

Or use a hair-dryer.
I repeat, you do not need warmth to dry clothes. Outside, clothes dry perfectly well on a cold but breezy day.
But Milly said it was peeing down!
cupid ; read my earlier post regarding a fan!
Sorry, missed that one, much safer than mine [sticking it on an airer in front
of an open oven!]
