There was a post yesterday, or maybe Monday, from someone asking about keeping chickens in your garden.

Lots of people seem to be keeping chickens.

Now Mums says she'd like a few chickens in the garden. OMG !

What is it with chickens, suddenly ?????

ps. Does anyone have a small hen house that would fit on my balcony?

Chickens? get them form Lidl......£1 each

Eggs?....the're cheap too.

In the Garden?....urrrrrgh! how terribly rural.

Or is it the "cocks" that are of particular interest?

At Costco, you can get 60 eggs for £5.

That's good value, isn't it?

Not that I ever need 60 eggs.

Well, yes ... but I've never been inside it.
I doubt you could raise a chicken for £1. Makes you wonder at the farming industry.
Or £2 for that matter.
I'd love to have chickens, preferably ex battery ones. Sadly ive not the room for any and a blood thirsty jack russell, which I can't imagine will be good combination.
Might save you on buying "pedigree chump" ?
Boo; we have chickens and a JR (admittedly had the chickens first) and the JR is scared of the chickens. Also; it's lovely to have eggs which you know are truly free range.
And enough feathers for a quilt? Hmmm, might be onto something there!
would really love to sophie, but ive a postage size stamp of a backyard.
