Milbemax appears on the 'C' list, and is supposedly safe under the guidance of a vet, but if you ask a Collie breeder, they will tell you it isnt safe irrespective of what a vet says.

Just to add, my vet is fully aware of the implications of MDR1 and that none of my dogs have been tested. However, I took my young male to the emergency vets one weekend and a locum vet gave him a drug that could have put him in a coma. I recognised the name of the drug and before I gave it him I checked my list........to say I was annoyed is an understatement.
Jules has said it all. Why take the chance if you know there could be a problem? The reason the vets recommend it is because the reps do them a good deal - my vet has stopped using other wormers, and when I sent some dogs to Finland he allowed me to buy Drontal online and take it in for him to administer.
