yea, the clue when they come into the sitting room is the rattling of the windows - they are serious V8's -just the gent spiders looking for the lady spiders at this time of the year - aren't they great?

It must be the time of year - I have 'em too.

Too big for a regular glass, I had to get a pint to fit over them and throw them out. Where do they come in that's what I'd like to know.

It's probably a pregnant female looking for somewhere safe to have her brood. I put one out the other night and it really objected by leaping up and down in a frenzy in the container. Oh well, plenty of baby spiders for the birds to eat - good news for some.

have just walked into the kitchen in the dark, switched the light on and found the biggest spider i've ever seen in the middle of the floor. it's obviously that time of year again....shudder!
