Do you prefer your dog to some people?

My dog is honest, as far as I know, loyal and a great friend. I prefer my dog to most, not all, people.
Should I be ashamed of myself?

Probably you fed your animals so they stuck around! People would have had their own reasons to let you down and fall short of your expectations. It shouldnt make you lose your faith in humanity though.

yup. i could (but won't) list a long collection of people who come after my dogs in my affection, many of these folk are actually perfectly pleasant but not my family which my dogs are.... and yes, there are stinging nettles in my garden that I prefer to some folk.
