I've just got a 7week old staff I already have two age 3 and 2 he is great in the crate unless the door is shut. He doesn't just cry he screams. Tonight I have propped his cage open in the same room as others and hope he isn't so lonely poor thing. It's just roxy (2) has gotten in the cage to lie down. They both love the new baby and are really gentle with him. Any advise greatly received.

As long as you're sure that they both love im, that should be fine, they'll provide company and reassurance for him..........
shes mothering him, they are known as nanny dogs for a reason. He should be fine poor thing is still so young shes probably just noticed hes crying for his litter mates and giving him that extra bit of comfort he needs. Bless!
I recommend proper TLC, as with all young, but sensibly mixed with an element of firm training. I have several thoughtless neighbours who allow/cause (?) their canines to disturb the peace at all hours! I'm sure you will not be like this, but always consider not only your pets, but their wider environment.
Poor little man, he should still be with his siblings at 7 weeks of age.
Gosh 7 weeks is a bit early to be away from the litter... Ensure you know how to bring him up properly or else he may develop behavioural problems due to leaving his mum too early!

Thank you for all your help. He slept so much better with Roxy. He is young to leave his mum but she is really poorly so it was his best chance to come to us. He is my baby now and gets lots of love and attention here. He's been curling up in there bed today and they almost walk on tip toes to get in the basket so they don't hurt him. They are all loved very much and it has shown today because they are loving Harley.
That's nice that they are looking after him - he's so tiny, I'm amazed he's been able to leave his mother already. Seems much too young to me, bless him. What's his name?

Notalot ...i have very good neighbours but i couldnt let his cry like that with him being so young. He was fine once he was able to lie with others.
Sounds like you are going to have a very happy doggy household! Glad he is settling in too and has his surrogate mummy!!!
It's so lovely to hear that you have 3 Staffies! They really are the most loving & loyal dogs anyone can have, wonderful with kids & the greatest fun. As long as you are firm but fair with this breed, no other can match them as faily pets.
They've had such bad press of late, mainly down to bad owners & either the wrong type of 'training' or non at all. All that energy & boisterous play can be a bit daunting for anyone not familiar with the breed, but like all bouncy youngsters, they need firm handling & lots of socialising. Training classes are great for this!
I'm sure you know all this only too well but it is aimed at those folk who maybe have'nt had much to do with them & have read the scare stories!
STAFFIES ARE FAB xx
