I am regulary being forced with the task of removing fox poo from my dog as she will roll and cover herself all over. not to mention that she is smelly and unable to be approached due to the stentch.

in addition to the poo the problem also includes dead animals which have been killed, by somewhat methods not even you would wish on ur worse ememy, unless you cant grasp the balance of right and wrong. (so that applies to almost of the people reading this, DUMBOS!)

She has a fetish for being as intrusive and destructive to any defenceless aminal already without life and facing the chance of being abducted from a animal such as fox and possiblities of being eaten. Could be a tasty meal who knows, ill tell you when i find a dead animal and eat it, thats my next meal. yum yum

People smell her from distance then take drastic actions to avoid my poor little doggy and she cannot understand why people are starting to avoid her and make a big fuss and comment on her fat bum, by the way, she knows her bum is fat and is proud of it!

oh, for those unsure of my question, it is,

Why is she attracted to rolling in the fox poo and rolling in it so she smells of the poo.

Thank you for the time you taken out of your day to read my post and please comment your response.

Most dogs prefer to smell. It makes them feel good. What stinks to you small like heaven to them.
smells, even. lol
Most dogs will do this, sadly, think its probably to mask their own scent. Nothing, other than keeping your dog on her lead, you can do i'm afraid, tis what they do :-)
That's dogs for you. You may consider them your best friend and part of the family but they are still animals and animals do things that human beings find disgusting. Nothing much you can do other than keep her away from the things you know she will roll in.
you have Chanel No.5 - They have fox poo!

when asking for advice it's probably not a good idea to use phrases like the above - a little rude I thought.

Hey we may be dumbos rsvp, but least we know why dogs roll in poop ;-)
Most of us can string a coherent paragraph together as well.
too true BOO and CF
<DUMBO> <elephant sized sigh>
So... the solution is to mask their scent with Chanel No.5.
Problem solved.
Fox poo probably spells nicer than Chanel No.5- as that stuff's vile.
"Most of us can string a coherent paragraph together as well."

I agree and many of us cant for differing reasons!
It is perfectly natural for a dog to do this, it is very difficult to hunt when you smell of dog, if you smell of poo it is much easier, a bunny rabbit isn't expecting a pile of poo to creep up and eat him!!

I wonder if a fox rolls in anything?
A dog smelling of fox may not find that an advantage when hunting :-D

Should be rolling in grass & flowers.
AOG, Im sure dog poo smells differently to fox.
Best way to remove fox poo is to cover it in tomato sauce, rub it in then bath the dog. Don't know why it works, but it does.
Lankeela, how would anybody have discovered that?
rsvp, BOO,CF and s-dave, with you all the way there!!!
