Tripe and Onions...!
My mum used to make tripe and onions in a milk and mustard sauce. As I remember it was delicious (and incredibly good if you had a cold). Can't find the recipe anywhere. The recipe included Colman's dry mustard powder as I recall. If anyone can remember how this was made I'd be grateful.
p.s. my husband tried it once and absolutely hated it! But I always enjoyed it 'cos it was tasty. As an added bonus it was very cheap to make.

MY Granmother used to eat tripe also with milk and onions. I used to buy the tripe for her in the butchers in the centre of Newcastle as the butchers in the neighbourhoods didn't seem to sell it. By the way she was always eating it and she lived until she was 100 and 5 months old (Got telegram from the Queen). Maybe eating the tripe had something to do with it. I don;t have the recipe but maybe if you google it. Hope your find a recipe soon.!
