She was my avatar, but has wandered off (most un-treelike). She has been replaced by something most unpleasant.

Its magic..... we can tell the future...

It changed from a gaunt woman to an image of a tree. Isn't that better than a snake, anyway?

I think in this instance Sandy, the reference is the tree nymph and not the cobra.
