Whenever I start to file my nails with an emery board, my cat jumps up and starts to wash (lick) it, she just hogs it. Can anyone enlighten me, is it the smell, roughness??
Also when I have put bleach down outside, when it has dried she smells then rubs her head and completely loves rolling there..again why? what is in the smell?? anyone any idea's?
One of the cats I used to have had a thing for matchboxes, she would lick the sandpaper bit but only after it had been used to strike the matches. We thought it was something to do with the sulphur in the match heads.
Bleach contains ammonia, hence it resembles cat pee ! That is why never use bleach solution to wash up a pet accident it only makes them wee there more lol.
changing the subject a little from emery boards, one of my cats has a fascination for cotton buds. As soon as he sees one he grabs it (whether or not it's been used) and charges off around the house with it dangling like a cigarette. Do you think it was possible he might have been a smoker in a previous exixtence?
All my cats have loved emery boards - they seem to find them both delicious to lick and irresistible to scratch.
I was told bleach smells to them like boy cat pee - the girl cats go all inviting, rolling about on their backs - the boy cat tried to pee over it.
