Tigger keeps throwing up

Took Tigger and Blue for the yearly jabs yesterday and Blue has lost a bit of weight and her temperatuwas slightly low. She has also been throwing up a lot over the past couple of weeks. The vet has done some blood test and I'm getting the results this week.

I know I should wait for the results but does anyone recognise these symptoms and what it could be?

I agree with Tony, don't speculate as it could be anything, she may just have a bit of a bug so wait for the test results, please keep us updated though.

Read that wrong then, didn't have glasses on and thought it said tiger, was wondering if you kept a tiger for a pet. Anyway hope he's better soon.

Murph was like this a couple of months ago, vet did loads of tests but all came back ok. I changed het food and that seems to have sorted it

yes same problem with my cat, now on sensitivity control chicken and rice , veterinary diet, has been for a year now,

The throwing up for us (for Rover) was a sign that he had kidney disease - which is not the end of the world as it can be held back with medication. The bile he was making reacted with his food and he threw everything back up as soon as he ate it. Cats' kidneys can be quite badly damaged before it shows. He lost weight and was dehydrated, but medication soon brought his levels back up. Fingers crossed, tigger.

You have copied me. I called one of my cats Tigger too.

Called the vet today and she said that Blue has problem with her liver. Can't remember what the name of it is but I was given 3 options. 1) Get xrays done; 2) Give her tablets once per day; 3) Give her special dietry food. I opted for the 3rd option as the vets said we could try this for a month and then get her bloods checked again and then possibly xrays. The tablet one would be too difficult as it needs to be taken whole and not mixed with food.

Hi Hop, unfortunately it wasn't just a case of furballs as it was happening far too often and she was bringing her food up.

My cats were named before I got them from Battersea Jonny. They were 2 years old when I got them as I wasn't permitted kittens, so I just kept their names.

Not sure Katburd, I'm picking the food up tomorrow after work as they've had to order it in. I've asked for a mixture of we and dry food as they eat both. Only trouble is, Blue may carry on eating the usual food that I'll continue giving to Tigger as she's always nicking bits off her plate.

forgot to say, the food with be medicated so I have to keep Tigger away from it. How I'm going to do that, I don't know, as I just give them their food before I got to work and leave them to it.
