Yesterday I decide to move some geraniums out of a container and into the garden, when I picked up one of the plants there was a really strange feeling in my hand,a kind of slight vibration. It puzzled me all afternoon, so I went back and dug it up again to find a huge bee in the root ball!

Thanks pdq, what I meant was it was the vibration of the bee buzzing that caused the vibration in my hand.
Did you think the flower was talking to you? Lol.

muffled voice "No don't dig us up and put us out, it's too wet".
Sorta ,Honey Ive dug up a bee "
The Triffids are coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aw, poor fellow, no wonder bees are having problems this year!
I actually love seeing bees in the garden, just not wasps!
I would have freaked out, not at the vibration but at the bee. I would have probably thrown the geranium as far away as I could and rushed into the house trembling like a leaf and probably screaming as well. Yes, I know, I am a rank coward.
Bumble bee types will usually have solitary nests in vegetation, possibly among roots of a plant or decaying matter.
Earlier this year I saw bees burrowing into the ground in 2 different spots in my garden.
I didnt realise bees could burrow?
Oh yes they can. I have had two bees nests in my lawn. It makes mowing it hard work as they all fly out when you mow over the top of their nest. Thankfully they both only lasted a year.
If they want to burrow would they go to a beeank
