We have a 15 week-old pup which we're fairly sure is a cross between a collie and a Jack Russell.
At what age can we expect her to have her first season?

Most bitches have their first season between 6-12 months and it can vary. My cavalier king charles had her first at 10 months and my shih tzu had her first at 5 and a half months so it just depends. I also think that the bigger the dog, the more likely that the first season will start later but my experience contradicts that as my cavalier is the bigger of the two dogs and she had hers later. But as a general rule, I would say between 6-12 months.
Really, any time between about 6 and 9 months.  They often seem to choose Autumn and Spring to come on heat!
