I've been selling mugs online and have been asked many times what is a mug?

I tried translation sites but they don't appear to be 100% accurate.

Can anyone translate the term mug in
German
French
Spanish?

Thanks

The French being extremely innovative when it comes to vacabulary say 'un mug'!
Let me look that up... no, it's not in the 2005 Larousse and my Harraps translates it as '(grosse) tasse'. But seriously I have often heard it called 'un mug'.
German - " ein Kaffeebecher" (coffee mug)

Spanish- "jarra" or " jarra de caf " for coffee mug

German - Becher or Krug

French - grande tasse or chope (large cup)

Spanish - taza (tipo jarra) or vaso con asa or jarra (con asa, para caf)

And expand your market....

Portuguese - caneca

Italian - boccale

Italian -

Chope is more a mug for your beer.

You could always use the universal language of imagery!  Upload a photo or two of your stock onto your website! :-)

In fact the French 'chope' is best translated as ' beer tankard'.
Don't you like any of them then, boderectium?
Actually in Spanish it's a taza grande - jarra being a jug.
