Oh dear Mr Fox is abroad.............

This morning looked out on the lawn at the back of the house and I saw what I thought a was whole plant that had been dug out of the border. When I went out to investigate it turned out to be a very dirty, very dead chewed chicken - minus its feathers and head. Obviously Mr Fox had raided my neighbour's chicken coop at the back of our house, I'd heard that they bury their food for later. When MrAsk went to dispose of it he said it was full of maggots so it wasn't a recent kill. (hope you're not having your tea) I'd seen the fox in the early hours of the morning a couple of weeks ago sniffing around the fence between our properties. Feel a bit sad I don't know whether it was Henrietta or Edwina who is now in KFC heaven.
If you have chooks take extra care now the dark nights are here.

It looked as if it had been dragged about then buried, certainly chewed. I didn't study it too long. ........I don't see much of the neighbour - he is the one with 30ft lleylandi, just wish he'd chop em down. Two of his hens must have found a gap in his fence they came to visit our garden a few times.
