If fox hunting has been banned and all hunts say they are hunting within the law, how come this happened two Saturdays ago, a lady had to intervene.

Why are the hunts never prosecuted? Are they areally above the law? Is it that corrupt?

The unspeakable in full pursuit of the uneatable. And we call ourselves a nation of animal lovers.
that is absolutely f****** awful. i would have liked to smack that man in the chops or push him into the mess.....perhaps he would feel differently if he experienced being pulled apart while alive. the police should prosecute....and take his dogs off him (or ban him from working with them). i grew up very near ledbury...so i do appreciate how full of Salad Chefs like him it is.

I meant to post this from 2 weeks ago. A lady had to go into a pack of hounds to save this female fox.

My original post didn't come out as planned. Both these hunts are in different parts of the country. Why should it be left to the public to put themselves in these situations when it's supposed to be illegal?
I hope someone has showed this to the police - that man is clearly identifiable.
Didn't you know, the hunting fraternity are above the law - at least that's what they think!

It is a sad indictment on the 'Elite', gald I'm an ordinary bloke.
The trouble is, although it is OFFICIALLY banned, there are still ways around the ban. Also, fox hunting has friends in high places e.g. Royalty, MPs, the aristocracy...all our SO CALLED betters. It is cruelty in the extreme and I'm glad I'm a lowly pleb, mornin' guv (tug my forelock!). We have loads of urban foxes around my area and apart from the eerie noises they sometimes make through the night, they're no problem.
Disgusting, people with too much money and not knowing what to do with it!
That chap leering at the camera prompted a thought. Are they still looking for people to do extra work in Royston Vasey?
I would like to smack the man too, but why scream get off it when its now a dead fox.

She should and may have given video to the police. I myself do not like foxes, but i would not hunt them, as they are wild animals and are entitled to roam around.
I've always been anti-hunting but I think it's important not to use the 'rich people's sport' in an argument. People from all walks of life and economic situations support and follow the hunt, it's really not that expensive to hire a horse. Implying it's just for toffs makes it into a political argument rather than one of animal rights and anti-cruelty that it should be.
Agree with Prudie, I've always seen Foxes as Vermin (we bred poultry when I was a kid) but I don't like to see them ripped apart, if they need culling, shoot them!
A 'working class' example of a blood sport would be badger-baiting. Not many toffs dress up in their pinks to do that. As it doesn't have friends in high places the courts take a dim view of it.
awful man !!!... I was once arrested for disrupting a fox hunt in Herts..would do it again !!
Fox hunting is banned, but Tony Blair left loopholes in the law which these bloodthirsty idiots exploit to the full. And yes, they do think they are above the law. The League Against Cruel Sports is working flat out to bring prosecutions, but they are finding it very difficult. I was a 'sabber' in my early 20's and often went to hunts to help disrupt them. The annoying thing is the police were always out in force to try and stop us, but where are they now when these twonks are breaking the law ?????
How sickening that anybody can witness that and not think it's absolutely disgusting. I think fox-hunters are on a totally different planet. Wicked barstewards.
A bunch of Yobs tearing a Cat apart up an alley would be prosecuted but the Upper classes are born to rule Innit ?
It isn't illegal if the hounds go off on a laid trail and then pick up the scent of a live fox - it is natural for the hounds to go after it, that is if the scent is greater than the laid one. And that is how the law is circumvented, hunt masters very careful to stress at the beginning of the meet that a number of trails have been laid/or are being laid.
