Sadly as someone who trawls through these ads on a regular basis I am sad to say this is not an unusual ad. There was one the other day for an 8 week old puppy, and the owner was selling it because she did not have time for it - er - perhaps you should have thought of that before you bought it! I get very very cross and have to stop myself phoning/emailing these people to...

.....a very sad and dreadful story......
Question Author
I never know whether you're taking the pee or not half of the time sqad, however in this instance I think it's the latter?

You do seem to have a soft spot for the furries (I think!)
For once words really do fail me :o(
Heartbreaking.

The little map shows York, so im assuming there Lisa?

I cannot get over how anyone can do this to a family member that's been with them for 15 years I really cant!
I'm in Essex Boo, so theres no way I could get to him anyway :0(

Have you seen the bull dog underneath that ad...for £50!!!! The ad states no chavs! I can only assume the dog wants to move up in the world! These people disgust me.

To be honest Lisa, most people seem to think pets, of any kind, are disposable. I tentatively put the feelers out with Mr Boo, he gave me "the Look" so it's a no from me, I really would have too.

Really really hope he gets a loving home- poor little bugger.
Question Author
I've found the Yorkie Rehoming webpage, so posted that the OP on Gumtree.
Oh, I absolutely hate that, pets are family and more loveable than a lot of family members, tears so sad
lol...not too sure how he would get on with your cat anyway! The bulldog on the other hand....

I just don't get it either, my animals are part of my life and I love them with all my heart, you would have to kill me before I gave any of them up.

The ad is over two weeks old so heres hoping this boy has found a new place to rest his bones.... I can't ring as if he's still there I'll have to pawn one of the kids [human] to get the petrol money to go and get him!
Question Author
What cat?

Oh I got rid of that ages ago

(I'm kidding!)
B00, be afraid, he's planning his revenge for the mere thought
