My Cat Has Lost His Sparkle
6 Answers
My beautiful 2 year old cat Charlie has lost his sparkle...
He's occasionally started to throw up his food immediately after eating but I put this down to trying to eat fast so he could have a share of his twin brother's meal...but now he seems to be walking like a cat 10 years older...slightly hunched, tail down and slow...
He's also started sleeping most of the day which is most unlike him and has started to dry cough occasionally...
I took him to the vets last week where he had a full check-up but everything seemed okay...he's up to date with his jabs so the vet gave him a tapeworm tablet 'just in case'...
Has anyone else come across this with their cat?? He's back at the vet tonight for a blood test...
Thanks everyone...footymum

Could he have been fighting with his brother and maybe got bitten?
My two are 7 years old and go through times when they are much quieter than usual. My little boy, Frankie, guzzles his food sometime and is sick but he just goes back for more. He steals his sister's food too.
I hope that the vet can either reassure you that nothing is wrong or find something simple that can be fixed.
Frankie is asthmatic but is otherwise a normal (ie annoying and demanding) cat.
