We have some potted palms in our outdoor area. My Boxer cross seems to gain some pleasure from standing motionless beneath the palm fronds. Has anyone any idea why she would do this?

Have a look under this palm to see if there are any insects moving about.  My dog will wander aound the garden for ages only to stop still and watch insects for a while.
Possibly just endearingly cranky?

I aim to please! ;o )  Seriously though, Have you never just stood somewhere where a gentle breeze moved the canopy of tree- not looking at anything in particular, just absorbing the atmosphere?  I think it is a nice habit!  Better than digging the aforementioned plants up!
