Endless Winter

Has the UK now just got an endless Winter and no other seasons? When was the last time the UK had two weeks or more of consecutive sunshine?

i remember one spell in 1976

last may was pretty hot, and i remember there was sunshine at the end of may/beginning of june

It does rather feel that way doesn't it. I don't feel like we have four seasons any more at all, possibly two.... cold, windy and rainey followed by a brief bit of sunshine in what I used to class as spring and then back to cold, windy and rainey. However I've been reading books set in tudor time and they're complaining about the weather then so perhaps it's not quite how I think!

I bet not many people would complain if it was the other way round and we had endless Summer. Then the UK would be a great place to live

People would, they like to have seasons.... well that's what I'm told anyway when I say I would like it to be a constant 25 degrees here, higher when it's sunny season.

I am retired now but when I was younger my dad said that when I get to his age I would see the seasons changing. And he was right as then summer was summer autumn was autumn ect. but not anymore they are all rolled into one.

don't know - but 2011 was an exceptionally warm and dry spring

I personally would hate endless summer, but would love the seasons to be as they used to be when I was a nipper !

last year was the wettest on record bar a couple of weeks in may/june where the weather was nice. Im hoping for some sort of summer this year :/

If I remember rightly 2011 we had a beautiful March , I have a photo taken in March at a car show in Weston Super Mare and people where wearing t-shirts and shorts. Last April was nice but it changed after that and we had an awful summer. Today is the first day of Spring.! Really please tell the weather that.! Brendax
